SUMMARY:Beyond The Rhythms
DESCRIPTION:Beyond the Rhythms\nUnder The Northern Lights\n  \nExploring rhythms and the alternation between movement and stillness in CranioSacral Therapy \nDeveloped by Thomas Rosenkilde Rasmussen\, PhD\, MSc\, CST-D \nCourse content \nRhythms and stillness have a profound relationship to human health\, with implications for body\, mind\, and spirit. This advanced-level workshop is designed to offer participants a deeper understanding of the expression of rhythms in the human body and the relationships between rhythms\, physiology\, and states of consciousness. One important aspect of working with rhythms in the self-healing process is their alternation between rhythmic movement and still points or experiences of stillness during CranioSacral Therapy (CST) treatment. \nThe work with rhythms is twofold. First\, understanding rhythms and rhythm centers makes it possible to treat these centers more precisely using CST. Second\, palpating and learning to work with a polyrhythmic system – both within ourselves and within the client’s body – opens communication with the inner wisdom across a broader spectrum of rhythms and stillness. An essential dimension of rhythms is the experience of different levels of stillness. Rhythm and stillness cannot be separated; together\, they create a space that supports self-healing. \nWith a focus on working within the Upledger paradigm\, participants will become more proficient in treating rhythm centers by using different rhythms and by exploring the alternation between rhythm and stillness. This approach supports a deeper understanding and direct experience of the self-healing aspects of CST.The course includes lectures\, group discussions\, body exercises\, meditations\, demonstrations\, and hands-on practice for each concept presented. \nLearning objectives \n– A continued experiential understanding of the Upledger paradigm– Insight into the relationship between an open CST system and the perception of rhythms– Understanding of the 10-step protocol\, moving from the physical body to layered levels of the body– Knowledge of key points in opening the CranioSacral System– An introduction to rhythms in the cranial concept: science and philosophy– Understanding of the origin of rhythms and their relationship to health and self-healing– Skills for treating major rhythm centers– Experience working with a polyrhythmic system in CST– Insight into rhythms and physiological coherence\, including heart–brain and mind–body relationships– Exploration of rhythms beyond structure: rhythms and their relationship to consciousness– Understanding rhythms and stillness in identity\, self\, and the self-healing process– Knowledge of rhythm centers in relation to the vertical and horizontal aspects of the CranioSacral System– Understanding rhythm centers in relation to the triangle of hands\, heart\, and brain \nConditions of participation \nIn order to join the retreat\, we request an ongoing practice of Craniosacral Therapy and the attendance of the two following classes:– SomatoEmotional Release 1 (SER 1)\,– The Brain Speaks 1 (TBS 1). \nIf you have taken the required prerequisite courses (SER 1 and TBS 1) outside Finland\, please send information to info@upledger.fi when and where they were completed. No previous meditation experience is required. \nRetreat setting \nThe retreat takes place in Rovaniemi\, Finland\, the official hometown of Santa Claus\, located directly on the Arctic Circle. \nAccommodation and course activities are based at the elegant and centrally located Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus (4 star\, Tripadvisor)\, offering comfort\, warmth and a calm atmosphere during the winter season. \nThe retreat’s primary language is English\, with Finnish interpretation provided. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n				  \nTravel and accessibility \nEach participant is responsible for their own travel arrangements.
